Who we are
GPS Tractor (“the app”) is published on the App Store by Alina Bohuslavska, an independent developer (“we”, “us”), as part of LandLens. We are the controller of the limited data described below. Contact: support@tractor.landlens.pro.
The short version
- There is no account. We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your fields, guidance lines, jobs, equipment, clients and invoices are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. We never receive them.
- We collect anonymous usage analytics that never contain coordinates, boundaries, or field, job or equipment names.
- We don’t sell data, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Location
The app uses your device’s location (or an external GNSS receiver that feeds iOS Location Services) to guide you, draw coverage, measure area and record the track of a job. Location is used while the app is open and, while a job is recording, in the background so the job keeps recording with the screen locked. Tracks and coverage are saved with the job on your device. We don’t receive your location.
Data stored on your device and in your iCloud
Fields, boundaries, guidance lines, jobs (track, coverage, times, notes, spray records), equipment, folders, clients, invoices and settings are stored in the app’s private storage. If iCloud is turned on for the app, they sync through Apple’s CloudKit to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That data sits in your private iCloud database, which we can’t read. Deleting the app removes the local copy; you can remove the iCloud copy in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
Services that receive data
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Maps SDK for iOS (Google) | Requests for map tiles for the area on screen, your IP address and device information, as described in Google’s terms | Satellite and map imagery |
| Apple (MapKit, WeatherKit, CloudKit) | The job’s area for the report map and place name; an approximate location for the weather check; your synced records | PDF reports, spray-conditions check, iCloud sync |
| PostHog | Anonymous events such as “job started” with counts and rounded numbers (area, duration), app version, device model and OS, a random install ID, and crash diagnostics | Finding bugs and learning which features are used |
| RevenueCat and Apple | An anonymous app user ID when the app checks purchase status, plus purchase history if you buy | Managing purchases (all features are free in version 1) |
Analytics never include coordinates, field boundaries, field or job names, or anything you type. Screen recording (session replay) is turned off. We don’t link analytics to your identity.
Local network
If you turn on Send GPS to iPad, your iPhone sends its position directly to your iPad over the local Wi-Fi network using Bonjour. It doesn’t pass through our servers.
Siri, Live Activities and voice prompts
Siri shortcuts (“start a job”, “pause the tractor”) are handled by iOS. Live Activities show your job on the lock screen and Dynamic Island on the device. Voice prompts are spoken by the device’s speech synthesizer. None of this is sent to us.
When you contact us
If you email support, we receive your email address and what you write. The Help screen can add diagnostics to the email (app version, device model, iOS version, a few settings and the current GPS accuracy, never your location), which you can read before sending. We use this only to answer you.
Retention
Your records stay until you delete them. We keep analytics only as long as they help us improve the app, and support emails as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you can ask to access or delete data we hold about you. Because analytics aren’t tied to a name or email, we may not be able to match them to you, but we’ll do what we can. Write to support@tractor.landlens.pro.
Children
The app is meant for farm and land work and isn’t directed at children under 13.
Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change ships.
